Scott began working at McAlpine Tankersley while completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Auburn University. Scott's interest in architecture began at home, as his father is a practicing architect (his brother, Jonathan, also works for McAlpine Tankersley). Scott pursued his interest in architecture after college studies in both history and fine arts which he applies well
to his design work. While adept in all historical home models, Scott excels in the language of the American Vernacular and infuses his designs with an instant history and humble integrity of a true American-born architectural style. Scott and his wife, Shannon, married while Scott was
completing his studies at Auburn and are proud parents of two boisterous boys, Stewart and Elliott and their newest arrival, a son, Ellis.
